Our Holiday StitchEscape is a day filled with beautiful yarns and classes by outstanding instructors, surrounded by others who also love the craft.

Evening event includes:

“Skeins to skeins” with Cori Eichelberger, author, designer, teacher

Cori has developed a new interactive game based on the original matching card game of Apples to Apples. Using knitting trivia and fill in the blank prompts, the group works its way through some hilarious, amazing, awe-inspiring and downright naughty answers given by the small groups teamed up to play against one another.

Hand-dyed yarn is beautiful… eye-catching… and so seductive. But just because you’ve fallen head over heels for a skein of hand-dyed yarn doesn’t mean you always know what to do with it when you get it home. In this class, Stephanie Alford, dyer and Head SpaceCadet at SpaceCadet yarn, will walk you through the steps in “reading” your skein, to allow you to better anticipate how your hand-dyed yarn will behave once it’s on the needles. Starting with color terminology and covering everything from understanding color repeats to choosing the right stitch pattern for your colorway, you’ll walk out of class empowered to tackle your stash of hand-dyed yarn with confidence!

Ticket price includes the evening event, access to our sit-n-stitch room, and the marketplace. All classes are a la carte pricing, purchased separately. Meals are on your own, either at the center or nearby shopping area.
